Scratch My Back…And I’ll Scratch Yours. Ritorna E Si Conclude Il Progetto Di Peter Gabriel

Il disco originale, Scratch My Back, era uscito nel gennaio del 2010, e questo era quanto avevo scritto all’epoca a-volte-ritornano-peter-gabriel-scratch-my-back.html

Tracklist:

1. Heroes (David Bowie)
2. The Boy in the Bubble (Paul Simon)
3. Mirrorball (Elbow)
4. Flume (Bon Iver)
5. Listening Wind (Talking Heads)
6. The Power of the Heart (Lou Reed)
7. My Body Is a Cage (Arcade Fire)
8. The Book of Love (The Magnetic Fields)
9. I Think it’s Going to Rain Today (Randy Newman)
10. Apres Moi (Regina Spektor)
11. Philadelphia (Neil Young)
12. Street Spirit (Fade Out) (Radiohead)

1. “I Don’t Remember” – David Byrne
2. “Come Talk To Me” – Bon Iver
3. “Blood Of Eden” – Regina Spektor
4. “Not One Of Us” – Stephin Merritt
5. “Shock The Monkey” – Joseph Arthur
6. “Big Time” – Randy Newman
7. “Games Without Frontiers” – Arcade Fire
8. “Mercy Street” – Elbow
9. “Mother Of Violence” – Brian Eno
10. “Don’t Give Up” – Feist feat. Timber Timbre
11. “Solsbury Hill” – Lou Reed
12. “Biko” – Paul Simon

Il tutto naturalmente su etichetta Real World.

P.s Non essendoci video nuovi ho messo quello di My Body Is A Cage, la cover del brano degli Arcade Fire, uno dei più intriganti di Scratch My back.

Tra Il Tennessee E Gli Appalachi! Diana Jones – Museum Of Appalachia Recordings

Diana Jones – Museum Of Appalachia Recordings – Proper Records 2013

Rising For The Moon Deluxe Edition

Fairport Convention – Rising For The Moon – 2 CD Deluxe – Island/Universal 27-08-2013

Vediamo:

Disc: 1

  • 1. Rising For The Moon – ( 4.08 )
  • 2. Restless – ( 4.01 )
  • 3. White Dress – ( 3.44 )

  • 9. After Haloween – ( 3.38 )
  • 10. Night – Time Girl
  • 11. One More Chance ( 7.55 )
  • 12. White Dress: Previously Unreleased – Live on LWT – ( 3:44 )
  • 13. Dawn – Alternate Take – ( 4:11 )
  • 14. What Is True ? (Studio Demo ) – ( 3:20 )
  • 15. After Halloween (Demo ) – (3:04 )
  • 16. The King And Queen of England (Home Demo-Alternate Take )-( 3:12 )

Disc: 2

  • 1. Down In The Flood – Live
  • 2. Ballad of Ned Kelly – Live
  • 3. Solo – Live
  • 4. It’ll Take A Long Time – Live
  • 5. She Moves Through The Fair – Live

  • 7. The Hexamshire Lass – Live
  • 8. Knocking On Heavens Door – Live

  • 15. Matty Groves – Live
  • 16. That’ll Be The Day – Live

Musica Dal Mondo: Tra “Afrobeat E Desert Blues”! Dirtmusic – Troubles

Dirtmusic – Troubles – Glitterbeat Records 2013

Buddy Guy Non Lascia, Anzi Raddoppia! Il 30 Luglio Compie 77 Anni E Pubblica “Rhythm & Blues”.

buddy guy rhythm & blues.jpg

Buddy Guy – Rhythm And Blues – 2CD RCA – 30-07-2013

Semplicemente consigliato!

Lassù Sulle Montagne, Puro Texas Country! Casey Donahew Band – Standoff

Casey Donahew Band – Standoff – Almost Country 2013

The Moonshine Band) e-i-risultati-si-vedono-ma-soprattutto-si-sentono-jb-and-the.html. The End.

Eventually, Dave was asked to a session in ’86 for Dylan. “I don’t think it was my greatest musical contribution to the world. I was in awe of just being in the same room with the guy. I’m still looking for a tape of that session too.” These songs were recorded for two Dylan albums called Knocked Out
Loaded and Down in the Groove. None of the songs Dave played on were released. “I saw him a few months after the recording session” Dave recalls, “Dylan was playing with Tom Petty at the L.A. Forum. I was with John Doe and Exene and my girlfriend. We were hanging out at this backstage bar, and Dylan’s road manager came and brought me backstage. We talked for awhile about Sonny Burgess and stuff like that. It was a wild scene in his dressing room. He’s more remote now.”
Quindi parrebbe una di quelle sessions “sparse” tipiche del Dylan anni ’80, che diedero vita ai due Self Portrait di quel periodo (Knocked Out Loaded e Down In The Groove), forse nulla di imperdibile tutto sommato…
Ciao,
Marco

La “Stanza” E’ Sempre Piena! Roomful Of Blues – 45 Live!

roomful of blues 45 live.jpg

Roomful Of Blues – 45 Live – Alligator Records/IRD

Molto piacevole e consigliato!
