Lo scorso anno era uscita la ristampa del primo album della Band Music From Big Pink, un disco splendido, ma come potete leggere qui https://discoclub.myblog.it/2018/07/04/grandissimo-disco-ma-questa-edizione-super-deluxe-piu-che-essere-inutile-sfiora-la-truffa-the-band-music-from-big-pink-in-uscita-il-31-agosto/ , si era trattato, per usare un eufemismo, di un cofanetto poco interessante e molto costoso. Quest’anno tocca al secondo album del gruppo di Robbie Robertson e Levon Helm (e di Rick Danko, Richard Manuel e Garth Hudson), un disco forse ancora più bello del precedente, e anche se non mancherà il solito cofanetto Super Deluxe, che vedete qui sopra, con 2 CD, 2 Vinili, Blu-Ray Audio con versioni Dolby 5.1 surround, un 45 giri, un libro rilegato e alcune stampe, ovviamente molto costoso, incredibilmente, per l’occasione, uscirà anche una versione in 2 CD che raccoglie tutto il materiale audio, che contrariamente allo scorso anno è ricco di materiale inedito.
Intanto nel primo CD ( o nel doppio vinile) c’è un nuovo mix 2019 dell’album originale, curato da Bob Clearmountain, uno dei grandi specialisti del settore, poi ci sono 6 bonus tracks extra, diverse da quelle della edizione del 2000, che comunque sono riportate tutte otto alla fine del secondo CD, insieme alla esibizione completa della Band al Festival di Woodstock, che se non avete acquistato una delle 1969 copie del recente https://discoclub.myblog.it/2019/09/04/una-splendida-full-immersion-nella-leggenda-3-giorni-di-pace-e-musica-woodstock-back-to-the-garden-the-definitive-50th-anniversary-archive-giorno-3/ , non è disponibile in altro modo. La versione doppia costerà indicativamente intorno ai 20 euro, mentre per il cofanetto credo che ci vorranno un centinaio di euro.In ogni caso ecco il contenuto completo dettagliato delle varie edizioni.
