In uscita il 4 giugno un altro mega cofanetto dedicato ai Moody Blues Timeless Flight, copre tutta la loro carriera dal 1967 al 2003. Ci saranno anche due versioni per "meno abbienti", una doppia e una quadrupla a prezzi decisamente più contenuti, mentre quella Deluxe dovrebbe avrebbe un prezzo superiore ai 200 euro (tenete conto che sono sempre prezzi indicativi, ricavati nel momento in cui scrivo il Post e soggetti poi alle variazioni del mercato).

Interessante, con vari extra nella confezione (si vede meglio se allargate l'immagine), libri, cartoline, badge, i soliti memorabilia per "maniaci", oltre a 11 CD, 3 DVD e 3 DVD Audio che potete studiare qui sotto:

Praticamente sono 4 CD di materiale dal vivo inedito e molti CD e DVD di materiale "raro" e "poco visto", il sottoscritto segnala a voi l'ardua scelta. Non so se è imperdibile ma sicuramente estremamente interessante!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Per maniaci ancora più gravi, direi patologici, le prime 300 copie conterranno la copia della cassetta (che vedete qui sopra), "sparata" nello spazio in alcuni missioni Shuttle e che conteneva Days Of Future Passed da una parte e Seventh Sojourn dall'altra. SPQE (Sono Pazzi Questi Inglesi)! Vecchiotti, ma sempre in pista, anche in crociera.

Uno è già uscito la scorsa settimana (UFO), l'altro uscirà la prossima settimana (Barclay James Harvest), in ogni caso un plauso alla Emi inglese che sta aprendo i propri archivi con una serie di cofanetti retrospettivi dopo quelli dedicati agli Hollies e Frankie Miller, e il tutto a prezzi molto contenuti (ma poi ve la "faranno pagare" a fine settembre quando inizieranno a uscire i Box dedicati ai Pink Floyd!). Comunque per il momento:

il cofanetto quintuplo dedicato agli UFO The Chrisalys Years 1973-1979 contiene i 5 album originali di studio (quelli dell'era Michael Shenker), Phenomenon, Force It, No Heavy Petting, Lights Out, Obsession più il doppio Live Strangers In The Night. Se non fossero stati tutti ripubblicati, non da molto, a prezzo speciale e con bonus, sarebbe perfetto. In ogni caso, visto il prezzo e la notevole mole di inediti, compreso un concerto del 1974 all'Electric Ballroom di Atlanta e molte altre chicche, il cofanetto rimane interessante.

Sempre 5 CD per il cofanetto dedicato ai Barclay James Harvest Taking Some Time On: The Parlophone - Harvest Years 1968-1973 che comprende i 4 album pubblicati per la Harvest Barclay James Harvest, Once Again, ...and other short stories, Baby James Harvest e, in questo caso, veramente una valanga di extra, singoli, demo, brani live e BBC, versioni alternative e molto altro.

Non male per un gruppo che un giornalista definì Poor Man's Moody Blues e che qualche anno dopo, nel 1977 in Gone To Earth, divenne il titolo di un brano che citava Nights in White Satin e rendeva omaggio ai Moody Blues stessi.
