Lou Reed – The Rca And Arista Albums Collection – Sony Legacy 17 CD – 17-10-2016
Annunciato più volte, ormai da un oltre anno, e più volte rimandato, al 7 ottobre uscirà il cofanetto retrospettivo degli album di Lou Reed pubblicati nel periodo 1972-1986, durante il suo contratto, prima con la Rca poi con la Arista. I dischi sono stati tutti rimasterizzati, sotto la stessa supervisione di Lou Reed, l’ultimo progetto portato a termine prima della sua morte avvenuta il 27 ottobre del 2013 (sono già passati tre anni). Non ci saranno né dischi bonus e neppure tracce aggiunte nei vari album. Questa è la lista dei CD:

Il cofanetto contiene tutti i 16 album pubblicati nel periodo, con Live Take No Prisoners che è un doppio, per un totale di 17 CD. Avrà un costo, molto indicativo, intorno ai 130-150 euro, quindi medio prezzo e non budget (come ad esempio Sire Years: Complete Albums Box e altri progetti che ultimamente stanno uscendo a prezzi decisamente bassi, vedasi il recente box dedicato a Joe Cocker). Il tutto è stato rimasterizzato, come si diceva, ex novo, sotto la produzione di Hal Willner, Rob Santos e lo stesso Lou Reed. Nella confezione, oltre ai vari usuali memorabilia che vedete nell’immagine sopra, c’è anche un libro di 80 pagine, con foto, saggi e una presentazione del vecchio amico di Lou, Hal Willner.
