Circa un anno dopo l’uscita del cofanetto relativo a https://discoclub.myblog.it/2018/11/20/recensioni-cofanetti-autunno-inverno-6-una-sontuosa-riedizione-di-un-capolavoro-minore-the-kinks-are-the-village-green-preservation-society-50th-anniversary/ , tornano le ristampe potenziate del catalogo dei Kinks, questa volta tocca a Arthur (per brevità), che uscì in origine il 10 ottobre del 1969 e che, nonostante le ottime critiche non entrò neppure nelle classifiche inglese e negli USA arrivò solo al 105° posto. Già nel 2004 e poi nel 2011 (in questo caso un doppio CD) erano state pubblicate delle edizioni rimasterizzate con l’aggiunta di svariate bonus, ma questa volta si arriva addirittura a 4 CD (anche ci sarà, come vedete all’inizio del Post, pure nel 2019 una versione doppia.
Al di là delle versioni mono e stereo dell’album, entrambe con bonus, nei primi 2 CD, e il 4° CD con demo, prove, brani presi dalla BBC, molti dei quali sono le stesse delle precedenti edizioni, la chicca del cofanetto dovrebbe essere quello che è stato definito The Great Lost Dave Davies Album Plus], ovvero un album solista del fratello minore Dave previsto per il 1968/1969 ma mai pubblicato, brani che sono usciti comunque a rate in varie antologie e ristampe della band inglese e nella quasi totalità nelle versioni 2004-2011. Per l’occasione ci dovrebbe essere l’album integrale in formato stereo e mono, più qualche versione alternativa. Diciamo materiale interessante soprattutto per i maniaci dei Kinks, anche per la presenza di ben quattro 45 giri. La versione doppia è un riassunto dei brani contenuti nel quadruplo. Comunque qui sotto trovate le tracklist dettagliate di entrambe le edizioni.

Considerando che il cofanetto, al solito molto indicativamente dovrebbe costare intorno ai 70 euro e quella doppia invece meno di 20, fate i vostri conti. Esce il 25 ottobre.
